✅ What the Public Can Do to Help

1. Send Out the Press Release

• Distribute the official press release to:

  • Local and national media outlets

  • Independent media channels

  • Community newsletters and bulletin boards

• Share through social media (Twitter/X, Facebook, Telegram, etc.)

• Encourage others to forward it to their contacts

2. Send an Email Blast

• Use email platforms (Mailchimp, Substack, ProtonMail, etc.) to send updates to your network

• Include:

  • A summary of the issue

  • Link to the petition

  • Draft letter to MP/Senator (please forward a copy of any reply to liaisonjane@gmail.com and these will used in our intervention court submissions)

  • Date of the hearing

3. Contact Your MP and Senator

• By Email or Fax (preferably both)

• Demand support for:

  • Judicial enforcement of the Canadian Bill of Rights

  • The Minister of Justice’s duty to uphold due process

• Include a draft letter (provide as a downloadable link or dropdown)

4. Promote the Petition

• Share the petition widely online and in person

• Post in:

  • Facebook groups

  • Telegram chats

  • Email lists

• Bring printed copies to events, churches, farmers' markets, and rallies

5. Attend the Federal Court Hearing

• Show up in person at the Federal Court of Appeal on hearing day to:

  • Show public interest

  • Witness the proceedings

  • Support the interveners

• Bring signs, stay respectful, and encourage peaceful presence

  • Explain the case

  • Discuss rights under the Canadian Bill of Rights
